RACE FOR DIGNITY FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

The Race for Dignity began as one HIV+ person's desire to cycle across Africa to raise funds and awareness for other people affected by HIV/AIDS in developing countries. It has now evolved into numerous mass participation fundraising events on stationary spin bikes in Canada, the United States and Great Britain.

HOW TO START YOUR OWN RACE FOR DIGNITY EVENT:

Raise funds. Save lives.

Holding your own Race for Dignity event is a great way to engage people in your community in an effective response to the AIDS pandemic.

Have an idea for a different activity?

The Race for Dignity as a fundraising event is not limited to spin bikes. Many different activities (e.g. running, ultimate frisbee, baseball) can be used as a fundraising vehicle.

The Race for Dignity fundraising program is designed so that individuals and groups/teams can choose their preferred activity (e.g. soccer, tennis, golf) and time, date and location to hold their own fundraising event and use our resourceful website to make fundraising fun, easy and hassle free.

Benefits:

  • Event, team and personal fundraising pages (quick and easy to set up!);
  • Online registration;
  • Secure online donations and automatic tax e-receipts for your donors;
  • Track offline donations on your personal fundraising page;
  • Message board to organize and communicate with participants;
  • Fundraising Kit with tips, forms and templates;
  • Links to community sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
